项目概况/About the Program

北京大学是我国最早设立考古学教学研究机构的高等院校。授业于田野之间，树人于实践之中。田野教学是北京大学考古育人体系的核心环节。当前，北京大学考古文博学院积极推动校地合作，重点建设山东临淄、陕西周原、宁夏盐池三个标准化的实习基地，积极探索“基地+”模式，推动实习基地及田野实习成为传播中华文化的新名片与筑牢文化自信的新阵地。

实习基地交流项目是推动田野考古“基地+”模式发展的重要组成部分。考古文博学院每年面向海内外相关专业学生设置若干交流名额，旨在发挥北京大学考古学科整体优势，立足田野考古实践一线，探索田野工作前沿方法，为学科建设和人才培养提供学术支撑，推动跨学科交叉合作研究，促进国际交流合作；继承传统，引领风气，推动田野工作方法优化与考古研究生态良性发展。

实习基地交流项目时间一般为每年5月到12月，具体时间和招收人数请参见项目汇总表（附件1）。考古文博学院将为参与交流项目的同学提供优质教学条件、专业教学团队、跨学科实践资源与优良生活环境。符合申请条件的海内外学生可在规定时间内自主申请实习基地交流项目，学院将择优录取，确定最终入选名单。学生一经入选，应按项目要求开展交流学习，原则上不允许中途退出。

Peking University stands as the pioneer in establishing a dedicated research institution for the teaching and study of archaeology in China. Central to the school’s archaeological education framework is systematic archaeological fieldwork training. Presently, the School of Archaeology and Museology at Peking University spearheads efforts to foster collaboration between the university and local authorities in different regions of China. This initiative concentrates on establishing three standardized fieldwork bases located in Linzi of Shandong Province, Zhouyuan of Shaanxi Province, and Yanchi of Ningxia.

The Fieldwork Exchange Program welcomes both domestic and international students each year who are studying in  relevant majors. The program aims to leverage the rich expertise of Peking University's archaeological discipline, with a primary emphasis on field archaeology. Through this program, participants delve into cutting-edge techniques and methodologies, bolstering academic support for disciplinary growth and talent cultivation. Moreover, the program fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and international exchanges, propelling archaeological fieldwork and studies into a new era.

The Program operates from May to December each year, with specific project durations outlined in the accompanying appendix. The School of Archaeology and Museology offers top-tier facilities, esteemed faculty, interdisciplinary resources, and a comfortable living environment for all participants. Both domestic and international students who meet the program's criteria are eligible to apply. Following a rigorous selection process overseen by the school, successful applicants will receive timely notification.

申请条件/Application Requirements

1、申请人应为在读大三及以上学生，应已学习过考古学相关课程，具备基本的田野考古理论知识，并拥有一学期以上的田野考古实习经历。

2、申请人需提供经学校盖章的成绩单。

3、申请人应提供一个月内的体检证明（如入职体检）和覆盖所申请项目时长的个人意外保险证明。

4、申请人应确保在实习基地交流时段内，能够服从考古工地管理，全身心地投入考古学习生活。

5、申请人应具备一定的跨学科意识，对学习相关考古学技术、方法抱有热情；能够积极参与基地的各项工作。

6、入选的境外学生需按照国家相关规定办理手续，根据手续办理要求提供必要材料。

1. Applicants must be at least third-year undergraduate students, having completed relevant courses in archaeology, possessing fundamental theoretical knowledge of field archaeology, and having fieldwork experience.

2. Applicants must provide an official transcript with the school's seal.

3. Applicants must furnish a recent health check report, issued within the past month, detailing infectious disease information, along with an insurance certificate covering the entire duration of the applied project.

4. Applicants must commit to follow the management regulations of the archaeological site and fully immersing themselves in both study and daily life at the location.

5. Candidates should demonstrate an interdisciplinary perspective, exhibiting a strong interest in acquiring knowledge of related archaeological techniques and methodologies, and actively participating in daily activities.

6. International applicants must submit all necessary documents in accordance with relevant guidelines.

申请须知/ Instructions for Applicants

1、2024年度实习交流项目申请材料提交截止时间为5月31日 ，2024年6月15日之前学院将公布入选名单。

2、请认真填写附件中的申请表，并将申请表发送至邮箱 wbxyjw@pku.edu.cn，邮件题目格式为“北大考古实习基地交流项目-申请人姓名-申请人单位”。

3、学院收到申请邮件后，会向申请人回复邮件，说明已收到申请材料。

4、考古文博学院将组织专门委员会审核申请材料，确定交流学生名单。

5、进入交流项目的学生，其具体入驻实习基地时间以通知时间为准。

6、本项目不收取学费，交流期间实习基地（或发掘项目）提供免费食宿。无实习补贴，往返交通等其他费用自理。

1. The deadline for the 2024 fieldwork exchange program application is May 31, 2024. The list of selected candidates will be announced before June 15, 2024.

2. Applicants are required to submit their applications online. Please complete the application form provided in the attachment and send it to the following email address: wbxyjw@pku.edu.cn. Ensure that the subject line of the email follows this format: "Peking University Archaeological Fieldwork Exchange Program - [Applicant's Name] - [Applicant's Institution]".

3. Upon successful submission, applicants will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of their application.

4. In May, the School of Archaeology and Museology will hold a meeting to review applications and finalize the list of selected candidates.

5. The successful applicants will be informed of the project's commencement date.

6. The program does not require tuition fees.Accommodation will be provided at the base (for excavation projects). However, allowances, travel expenses, and additional costs are not covered.
